About FEM Talks

FEM Talks is the flagship public-speaking platform of the Finite Earth Movement — a space where ideas of finite living and climate correction come alive. Inspired by the simplicity and reach of TED Talks, FEM Talks offers a fresh alternative: instead of the iconic red dot, every speaker steps onto a green circle stage — symbolizing harmony with nature, limits of consumption, and hope for a sustainable future.

Speakers share authentic stories — from scientists to farmers, entrepreneurs to teachers — demonstrating that climate correction is not just a theory, but a practical reality. Every FEM Talk is about awakening minds, challenging habits, and inspiring daily choices toward finite living. Talks are recorded, produced, and released on a dedicated FEM Talks YouTube channel and social media pages to spread inspiration far beyond the room.

What Topics Are Covered

FEM Talks shine a light on every dimension of finite living and climate correction. Talks are not limited to science — they are about lived wisdom, technology, culture, and choices that shape our future.

How to Organize FEM Talks?

Organizing a FEM Talk is simple, meaningful, and impactful. Here’s how you can get started:

  1. 1
Register the Talk: Visit www.thefiniteearth.org and register your FEM Talk by providing basic details. Once your event is approved, you’re ready to go ahead and create a bang. This step ensures alignment with the FEM vision and allows your event to be featured as part of the global movement.
  2. 2
Choose Your Space: Any place with a clean, quiet atmosphere and enough space for an audience will do — a classroom, auditorium, community hall, terrace, or even under a tree. FEM Talks are about substance, not size.
  3. 3
Set the Stage - Literally: The speaker stands on a green circle — a symbol of finite living and harmony with nature. This can be a small green carpet or painted dot, just like the red circle in TED Talks. The green circle reminds both speaker and audience that the planet’s boundaries are non-negotiable.
  4. 4
Invite a Speaker: Anyone with insights, ideas, stories, or actions aligned with finite living is welcome. They could be environmentalists, engineers, farmers, teachers, students, entrepreneurs, or traditional knowledge holders. What matters is authenticity and alignment, not fame.
  5. 5
Keep it Crisp with discussion: Talks should be 10–12 minutes long — uninterrupted, sharp, engaging, and thought-provoking. The focus is on personal insights, actionable ideas, or lived experiences that inspire change. After the talk, allow 5–10 minutes for audience reflection, questions, and discussion.
  6. 6
Record and Share: Film the talk with a simple phone or camera. Share the edited videos to ESF, it will get uploaded on FEM Talks Channel or share with FEM for wider dissemination. Let good ideas ripple outward.
